Why I Do It? (Sound Healing)

Why do I do what I do now? Sound healing has become more popular over the last 5 years, but before I took my son to our first parent and child singing bowl workshop, I had no idea what sound healing even was. Bought my first bowl after the workshop simply because I was resonating with the sound of the bowl and I saw how my son could gain that bit of focus time to rim the bowl to make it sing.
Death & Life

Death, it is inevitable and comes to everyone, but yet it is always harder for those whom are left behind. I have always been fascinated by what happens after death, since the passing of my own father back in 2002. Where did he go, if there is really another realm, is it way more beautiful and peaceful that what we see here on Earth? I am not afraid of my own death, but I fear the death of my love ones, because I will be left behind to feel the anguish and pain of grieving.
Wounded Healer (Sensitive Post)

All healers were once wounded. Some did the work and came through the light to find enlightenment, some of us are still working through our issues, while maintaining our hearts towards the light holding out with hope, but some never seem to walk through the darkness of their own ancestral traumas and carry the burden of their lineage woundings in the false pretence of upholding cultural wisdom.
Is Sound Healing For You?

We are all vibrational beings, and we get easily influenced by what we hear, not just by our ears, but every skin cell in our body. Did you know the receptors in skin cells, are similar to the ones in the ears, and respond to pressure created by airflow? This is why we want to immerse ourselves in a sound healing session, also known as ‘sound bath’, where the sound healing practitioner plays a series of sound healing instruments, all with the intention of healing, not performing.
Resisting Growth

How much time do you think we spend growing each day? I don’t mean physical growth, unless you’re a child of course. I mean your mental, emotional, spiritual and perhaps your skill set growth. Do you ensure you’re learning something new each day? Perhaps sometimes we might think we know it all and become the obstacle to our own potential growth.

Life In Koru

In 2 days, it will be my 2nd New Moon living in Aotearoa, Koru. 4 weeks flew by in a wink. Life has not slowed down for me yet. Setting up a new home is not a job to be completed in a mere 4 weeks, however in these 4 weeks, I have learned quite a lot about myself and my family. I have OCD, an absolute control freak, I cannot stand mess. Chaos is fine, but I need them organised. I need structure, even in the tiniest details. I need to learn to let go, much much more, oh so much more
No Mud No Lotus

“Most people are afraid of suffering. But suffering is a kind of mud to help the lotus flower of happiness grow. There can be no lotus flower without the mud.” ~ Thich Nhat Hanh.
